We're all ending Christmas Break like this.

After our time in New Martinsville, we came home to unpack, put Christmas gifts away, do laundry and head out to see the Teays Valley Tuels for a couple of days.
We arrived just in time to eat lots of junk and watch the Mountaineers play a poor bowl game. At the end, they resorted to watching the game in Spanish to take the edge off.
Henry loved playing with the kids. And they LOVED playing with him. He would snuggle up with one of them at any given time and they thought it was the best thing. They ran around the house playing and laughing and having a good old time.
Ted and Henry watching the game for awhile.
Sophie read Henry some books.
There was lots of game playing. We introduced Ted to Clue and he teamed up with Uncle Andy. They crushed us both nights.
Ted got a Coldstone gift card from Aunt Steph for Christmas, so he treated us all to ice cream.
Henry & Uncle Ben
King of Tokyo is a new favorite game that everyone can play.
We got up New Year's Eve morning and drove back to Morgantown. Ted and Sophie had a date day with Doh and Pap. They had CiCi's Pizza for lunch and then went to see the play Willy Wonka. A fun time was had by all and lots of memories were made! That was one of the Christmas gifts they gave the kids and I thought it was really cool for them to do that together.
NYE we went out to the Kozels for a dinner with their friends from Pennsylvania. It was fun to meet friends we've heard so much about and are so special to the Kozels. And have a yummy dinner! By that time we had met our social limits. So we went home and crashed. The kids and I were asleep on the couch at 9pm. Around 10pm we put the kids in bed and I managed to stay up till midnight, but barely. So that's about as uneventful as it gets.
New Year's Day (Thursday) we spent watching more football, doing laundry and repacking. Friday, we had the Murphy's and King's over for brunch, ran a few errands and headed up to Seven Springs. One of our gifts to the kids was to take the kids snow tubing up there. We went up the night before to hang with these lovely people:
The Snyders, the Nixons, the Lutyens, Zac, Alex, Zane and John. Zac hosted us at his grandparents beautiful home and cooked us an amazing meal on Friday night.
Saturday we woke up to rain which does not make great conditions for tubing. So we nixed plan A and went for Plan B.
There was some chess playing.
And hot tubbing.
I got a pedicure and Sophie joined me to get her nails painted.
The boys played in the arcade.
And there's always the joy of standing at the counter figuring out how you're going to spend you're 500 tickets.
And naps.
There was FIFA playing and NFL playoff game watching. Bummer that the Steelers lost.
We came home this afternoon and took the tree down and got the house back in order. I always feel so much better when my house is put back together. Everyone but me is in bed by 8:00 pm. Tomorrow morning is going to be a rude awakening for everyone. But we had a WONDERFUL Christmas break, with lots of fun stuff planned for the next several weeks.
Happy New Year!
